December Thoughts

Now that the holidays are almost here, it's hard to believe how quickly time is passing.  There are so many things to do to prepare...planning, shopping, cooking, wrapping and entertaining are just the beginning.  I've been organizing my kitchen so that I will have plenty of materials on hand to take care of the preparations.

Many of the items I will use I have purchased online.  I don't have much time to go to the malls or stores, and I've found so many wonderful gadgets and gifts online, I'm rarely disappointed, and I don't have to worry about fighting traffic, or standing in lines at the stores.  It's all done from my home.

This holiday season, I plan to make gifts for friends and family.  From cookies to cakes, herbal bath salts and soaps, favorite wines and appetizer gift baskets, I will make each gift a personal token of my love and gratitude.  They all know that I am living on a fixed income and I can't afford expensive gifts, so I'll do my best to make each one a special project that I think they will enjoy and remember.

There are a few things I will need that must be purchased at local shops, so I'll have to get those items as I go.  Each day I will write about a gift that I've been creating.  I'll give you a list of materials you'll need, the instructions on how to make or assemble, and a photo of the finished gift.  You can customize your own creations as you like.  I would start with a list of people you plan to give a gift to, the age, sex, and what they like.

Follow my blog and each day I will create a special gift for someone I love.  Tomorrow I will be working on Angel's gift.  Angel is my granddaughter, age 21, and she likes cologne, nail polish, hair accessories, makeup, jewelry, and chocolate.  Tomorrow, I am going to make her a gift basket with several of her favorite items, and how I created her gift.

Thanks for watching, and I hope you will join me tomorrow for the latest update.  Until then, take care.

Regards,
Christine
